Ames Storm Baseball Club
The Storm Baseball Club is a baseball club based in Ames. It was created for youth recreation and competitive and players in the Greater Ames area that want to further their baseball experience by playing more games in a competitive setting.
Goals

2018 Season Details
To play on a Storm team you must also be on an area Little League team or similar organizationStorm teams will be created based on a tryout. This tryout doesn't have any bearing on the Little League team/seasonTryouts will be held on October 25th, October 30th and November 14th at Sports Iowa. The cost will be $10 and will include a clinic from 7:00pm - 7:45pm (run by T&G 5 Tool Baseball) and evaluations 7:45pm - 8:30pm. Tryouts will be held for 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U teamsAge is based on how old the child is on May 1st. For example: 6/15/2007 birthday would be 10UThe Storm evaluation committee (made up of Storm coaches from each age group) will review evaluations and create a competitive team for each age group. If there is enough players we will also create a development team. Spring Storm teams (competitive and development) will play in the Ames Spring League: April 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th and May 5th and the Tuneup Tournament, 5/26. All games will be play at Hunziker Youth Sports Complex.For the Summer Tournament Teams for each age group (11 players) will be selected by the Storm Coach committee by 5/20. The Tournament team will play an addition 9-12 games in area USSSA tournaments in Des Moines and the Iowa Games
